Slowly build up your stash of mill waste darning yarn shades with these 'done for you' colour palette collections.
Choose from six different sets from bright tones, to jewel shades and then the all-time classic neutral colours.
'Mill Waste Merino Yarn Sets' include 22 different shades and a massive 220 metres of yarn.
'Mill Waste Cashmere Yarn Sets' include 25 different shades and a massive 250 metres of yarn.
All these high-quality darning yarns are perfect for general repairs, invisible darning, colourful visible mending or even a spot of knitwear embroidery.
These yarns can be doubled or tripled up if you require a thicker yarn for your mending project.
Spun and dyed either in the U.K or Italy using 100 % pure fibre - it's actually leftover surplus yarn from the textile production process, and without being rescued would likely end being sent to landfill.
It contains no added synthetic fibres unlike most darning wool or mending yarns, which are often a mix of wool and polyester/nylon which makes it hard-wearing but sadly it releases micro-plastics in the wash and doesn't biodegrade. We prefer to source pure yarn which helps to reduce our impact on the planet!
The yarn is presented on a Ministry of Mending card for easy storage.
Each card contains approximately 10 m (33 ft) of yarn.
